Are you a parent in Uppsala looking for information ranging from what winter clothes to send with your child to school or how to ask for mother tongue lessons at school? Or maybe you want to ask about cultural norms for children, like birthday parties? Then you are are in the right place!
At Uppsala International Hub, we know that moving to a new country and raising a family comes with plenty of questions, new experiences, and things to discover. Join the Hub for an informative and welcoming session designed to help international parents navigate family life in Sweden.
We will be joined by a guest speaker from Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad, who runs a project (Föräldrakraft) supporting international parents and is the author of Swedish for Parents – Language for Life with Young Families. She will share insights from her work and book, offering helpful perspectives on language, everyday life, and raising young children in Sweden.
We will also share practical tips and useful local knowledge to help you and your family make the most of life in Uppsala. From winter activities and things to do with children to useful information and resources you may not know about yet, we will cover it!
