Picnic in the Park

Uppsala International Hub is organizing an afterwork in the park where you can enjoy the outdoors and meet other internationals. Let's make the most out of the sunny weather!
Bring your own blanket, snacks and whatever you want to drink.
We begin at 16:30, but feel free to join whenever you finish work. We will meet at the Pelle Svanslös statue at and find a place close by so that you can locate us should you arrive a little later.

Need some advice about moving to or living in Uppsala? With our "Ask the Hub" service you can book a 15-minute digital session (which is usually held on the first and third Wednesday of every month) but will be held on the second and fourth Wednesay in May due to the holidays. In the session, you can discuss your questions, get advice or just see a friendly face.
Job Search Workshop
Please note that this workshop is designed for newcomers as this month's session is a repeat of the workshop that was held in July 2024.
Time: 13-16
Achieving new employment depends on how well candidates are able to conduct a job search. This workshop aims to help participants learn more about applying for jobs, and seeks their participation to share useful information and network with new peers.
Suggested programme Content (to be tailored to participants' needs)
- Setting a job search objective
- Improving CV and Cover letter presentation
- Interviewing skills – both online and in person
- LinkedIn and online presence
- Understanding today’s job market and where to find new roles
- Creating a personal action plan
Requirements
This workshop will be held in English. As we will work collaboratively, all participants are required to bring at least one of the following documents: cv/resumé, cover letter, Linkedin (or similar) profile. We recommend bringing a laptop computer but it is not required.
Join us for this interactive workshop where you can receive feedback from the program facilitator and peers to gain in confidence, clarity, and improve application materials.
